The trek starts at Lohajung and traverses through Bekaltal, the first glacial lake that you will encounter on the trek, Brahmatal, Brahmatal Pass, Tilandi top, and again ends at Lohajung over 6 Days. A perfect specimen of a winter trek, you will tread along blankets of snow under pine covers with might Himalayan peak views keeping you company. The trek is equally beautiful in spring as well. The maximum altitude of the Brahmatal Trek is 12,200 ft and is graded as an easy to moderate trek. This means that you will have longer trekking days than an easy trek with a few steep climbs throughout the trek. However, there are no technical sections. The trek includes both ascents and descents and while it is suitable for beginners and less experienced trekkers, the snow on the trail can increase the difficulty of the trek. Trekking in snow requires a good deal of endurance, which is why it is recommend being physically fit and preparing for the trek well in advance. Chose the trek route which give you the best possible experience of the trek. 

In spring (March to April) temperature during the day daytime remains between 15 to 20 degrees C and can drop drastically at night, hovering around 1 to 5 degrees C. In autumn (mid-Sep to mid-Oct), it's a pleasant temperature between 13 to 18 degrees C during daytime and can drop to as low as -3 degrees C during the night. Winter (Dec to Jan) brings a lot of snow and during the day it's 8 to 12 degrees C and at night it can fall to as low as -8 degrees C. At high altitude camps, the temperature is usually very low, which is why it is recommend dressing appropriately in layers and carrying enough warm clothes to sustain the cold weather conditions.  

Some sections of the trek may have hard snow, which can be quite slippery. Use microspikes if deemed necessary. Do not try to make a new path on the trek by yourself, land on the footsteps left behind by the trek leaders and previous trekkers. At high altitudes, the chances of AMS are quite high, which is why the itinerary should be like that it allows you to acclimatize well. The trek revolves around this glacial area, which although not very big but quite scenic. The Lake sits in the middle of Oak covers and in the winters, it becomes an undulating white canvas of snow. The lake is like a crystal clear oasis amid snowy blankets. 

The beautiful Rhododendron trees with their crimson blooms add a lot of beauty to the scenery. These beautiful trees can be spotted in many Himalayan treks and the Brahmatal trek is one of them. The Brahmatal trek takes you through centuries-old Rhododendron and Oak forests. When in bloom, the Rhododendron decorates the trail with shades of crimson and pink and is an absolute feast for the eyes.
