Amarnath Yatra on foot from Pahalgam

Description

One of the awaited journeys of the year, the Amarnath Yatra is organized in the months from July to August as per the Shravan month in the Hindu calendar. Families, friends, and companions embark on a spiritual Amarnath yatra route to find peace, enlightenment, prosperity, and most importantly blessings of the supreme being, Lord Shiva. Amarnath Yatra from Pahalgam starts from the base camp at Pahalgam to Chandanwari. This distance between them is approx. 16 km. Then from Chandanwari, a 13 km trek takes you to Sheshnag and a further 12 km trek to Panchtarni. From here, a 6 km walk will take you to Lord Shivas' abode, Amarnath Cave. Pahalgam to Amarnath Cave distance is approx. 36  km and completes in around 3 to 5 days (one way). Most of the pilgrims prefer this route as it is not only a bit easier than the Baltal one but also scenic. So, if you have senior devotees with you, this is the better route. Plus, you can also hire ponies to make their journey easier.

  • There are many langars all the though the route that offers free food to the pilgrims. 
  • Srinagar to Srinagar and return will be in non AC car as the climate will be cold enough and the air will be so fresh. 
  • Prepaid SIM cards will not work there. 
  • The trip can be canceled on government orders at any time, we will not be responsible for such issues and no refund will be issued for such incidents.
  • Start timings for each place will be told upfront, please keep up with that.

    Day 1
    After arrival at Srinagar Airport, get received by and transferred to Pahalgam. On arrival at Pahalgam check in to the hotel & stay overnight in hotel at Pahalgam.

    Day 2 Pahalgam - Chandanwari - Sheshnag
    Early Morning Leave Pahalgam and reach Chandanwari by vehicle (13 kms distance from Pahalgam). On arrival to Chandanwari, start trekking to Sheshnag located at a distance of around 12 kilometers (3576 Mts.) 7- 8 hours trekking. Dinner and overnight stay in tents at Sheshnag.

    Day 3 Sheshnag - Panchtarni - Amarnath Cave
    Early morning, start your trek to Panchtarni from Sheshnag. The distance is 14 kilometers and may take 4- 6 hours trekking. After having an early lunch further trek from Panchtarni to Amarnath cave for darshan, which is located at a distance of 6 kilometers. The Holy Cave darshan closes by 4.30 PM so you should to try to reach there at lease 2 hours before as the last climb to the themple may have quewe. After darshan have your dinner and stay overnight in tents at Amarnath Cave area which come with sleep and drinking hot water.

    Day 4 Amaranth Cave- Baltal - Sonamarg
    Leave early after delicious breakfast start trekking downward from Amarnath Cave to Baltal. The distance from Baltal base camp to Amarnat Cave is 14 km. Amarnath-Baltal trek is shortest route to reach Amarnath cave but also the difficult one. After, returning to base camp at Baltal get driven back to the hotel in Sonamarg (15 Km from Baltal).

    Day 5 Sonamarg-Srinagar Sightseeing
    After breakfast leave for Srinagar. After reaching Srinagar, complete check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Later, start your sightseeing tour at Srinagar. Visit the popular Mughal Gardens Shalimar Bagh, and Nishat Bagh, do the Shikara Ride in Dal Lake then finish up your day with the darshan at Shankaracharya Temple, Srinagar. Once back, stay at the hotel for the night.

    Day 6 Depart from Srinagar
    After breakfast and check out from the hotel and get an assisted transfer to the Srinagar Airport for your journey back home.

Cancellation Policy

  • Within 15 days of Arrival Date/ No Show: No Refund
  • 15 Days to 30 Days prior to Arrival: 50% of the total package cost.
  • 30 Days & More: 10% of package cost (and taxes are not refunded in any case)
  • Note: No refunds in case of Road Blocks, Accidents, Govt. lockdown, curfew, Yatra cancellation etc.
