Description

The Manimahesh Kailash is also known as Chamba Kailash. This is one among the Panch Kailash. Manimahesh Kailash stands towering high over Manimahesh Lake, which is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The Manimahesh Lake is at the base of the Kailash peak at 12,960 ft and is held in deep veneration by the people of Himachal Pradesh, particularly the Gaddi tribe of the region. It is believed that after Amarnath Darshan, Shivaji, and Maa Parvati move into this Kailash and remain here till Radha Ashtami. Manimahesh signifies a "Jewel (Mani) on Lord Shiva's (who is well known as Mahesh) crown". According to a local legend, the moon rays reflected from the jewel can be seen from Manimahesh Lake on a clear full night, which is a rare occasion. People gather around late at night with a clear sky and wait for the mani darshan. It is believed that before the Manimahesh yatra one should visit Bharmani Mata temple and then only a pilgrimage to Manimahesh Kailash can be considered as complete.

Package includes
  • 02 nights stay at standard hotel in Amritsar.
  • 02 nights stay at homestay or standard hotel in Bharmour.
  • 01 night stay at camping during trek (Please note; camping stay is very basic but neat & clean).
  • Meals included (All three meals including starting from dinner from day 02 to breakfast of day 03).
  • All Transportation
  • One local English speaking guide will be accompanying the group throughout trek.
  • Our guide will be carrying first aid kit with him.
Package Excludes

  • Risk cover, medical or insurance of any kind
  • Porter or pony charges (it can be paid extra), we will not carry your luggage.
  • Any train, bus or flight fare.
    Package special notes

    • Trekker has to carry his own backpack. 
    • If someone wants porters, they may book with us in advance at additional charges of INR 2550 per day.
    • If the climate is not suitable at the time and guests are slow walkers, we can skip/modify the itinerary. 
    • Every extra night will charge 1850 Per Person.
    • Start timings for each place will be told upfront, please keep up with that.
    • Places included in the trip are normally not changeable unless some special conditions.
    • In case the trip gets canceled in between due to Government imposed restrictions, the tour cost will not be refunded.
    • This package is for 4 people, if No. of Pax change, tour costs will vary accordingly. 
    • This package is customizable.

    • It is advised that the participant should bring along the following types of equipment/gear other than wearing clothes.
    • Trekking shoes, Cap. Goggles, Sun Glasses (Must), Sunscreen lotion, a pair of warm socks, a torch, an umbrella, a lightweight raincoat, personal medicine, Heavy wind chit, a waterproof Jacket & warm inners.

    Package Itinerary

    • 1
      Day 1
      Reach Amritsar airport get assisted transfer to the Hotel. Check-in to the hotel and take some rest. Later leave to visit Golden Temple, Jalian wala bhag memorial and museum. If time and health conditions permit, then visit Wagah Border. Come back by late evening to the hotel for dinner and night stay.

      Day 2
      Travel to Bharmour from Amritsar by road. Distance is 280 KM and can take 8 hours of travel. If started by 6 AM we can reach Bharmour by 4 PM. It is believed that before Manimahesh yatra one should visit Bharmani Mata temple, which is just 4 KM away from the city center. Before checking into hotel for a night stay, pilgrim has to visit Bharmani Mata temple.

      Day 3
      Bharmour - Hadsar - Manimahesh Kailash (12 KM -30 Minutes) by Taxi & 13 Km Trek). Trek to Manimahesh is gradual ascend generally, there are some areas where additional effort has to be applied due to the steepness of the road. Night stay at Manimahesh. Early morning by 3-4 AM the divine Mani Dharshan is possible on some days. So pilgrims should wake up real early and climb up to the Manimahesh lake and try to get this Darshan.

      Day 4
      Manimahesh to Manimahesh Lake and back to Hadsar and then back to Bharmour for night stay. Descend may take 4-5 hours and if you start by 8 AM you can reach Hadsar by the time for lunch. You will be transported to the hotel from Hadsar by vehicle.

      Day 5
      Departure from Bharmour to Amritsar. The way will be going through Chamba and Pathankot. In case customization is required, travel though khajjiar and Dalhousie is also possible. On arrival at Amritsar, check-in to the hotel for dinner and night stay.

      Day 6
      Have early breakfast and you will be dropped at the Airport for your onward journey. Take away the blessings of this holy mountain and memories of the pristine Himalayan Mountains. 

    Cancellation Policy

    • Within 15 days of Arrival Date/ No Show: No Refund
    • 15 Days to 30 Days prior to Arrival: 50% of the total package cost.
    • 30 Days & More: 10% of package cost (and taxes are not refunded in any case)
    • Note: No refunds in case of Road Blocks, Accidents, Govt. lockdown, curfew, Yatra cancellation etc.
